In Narodne novine stores (the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia) it is possible to buy notice stickers which must be displayed in stores in a spot visible to customers.
If you are a bar or restaurant owner in Croatia, you know everything there is to know about fiscalization, and if you are an employee in the IT business, you probably know what it is about.
But, what is the situation when a web store is your business? The introduction of order to this segment of doing business is justified and logical. However, the question is if there is any point to it. The Fiscalization Act prescribes that all forms of payment, except for transaction payments, must be fiscalized. It can be said that each business has one way to pay for its goods or services, and it can either be cash or all other means of payment (cards, cheques, etc.).
After positive fiscalization results for January 2013, the Tax Administration is content with the February results.
Natural persons, mostly bar and restaurant owners, have declared a turnover of 111,842,692.16 kunas (14,772,086.15 €) for February 2012, while the reported turnover for February 2013 equals 152,246,537.88 kunas (20,111,827.99 €), which is an increase of 36.15% in relation to the same period of last year.
On Sunday, 31 March 2013, a public prize draw was broadcasted on Croatian Radiotelevision for the "It doesn't count without a receipt" competition. In order to participate, the citizens were asked to send 20 different fiscal receipts and send them to Croatian Lottery at the address p.p. 493, 10001 Zagreb, with the envelope labeled: "It doesn't count without a receipt prize draw".

2nd prize, a prepaid debit card to the amount of 15,000 kunas: Sanja Čosić, Pejačevićeva 52, Virovitica

The new fiscalization phase is under way, and it includes commerce and professionals. Fiscal cash registers must also be introduced in private medical offices.
As of 1 April 2013, fiscalization is mandatory for all subjects whose business activities include retail or wholesale commerce, motor vehicle and motorbike repair, and for all professionals, while fiscalization will be mandatory for all business subjects as of 1 July 2013.
In an interview for Nova TV, the Tax Administration Director Nada Cavlovic Smiljanec stated that, same as in the case of bars and restaurants, oversight of new fiscalization subjects will commence as of Tuesday.
