On 13 January 2013, 16 irregularities were found during 239 weekend night club inspections.
The inspections took place in night clubs all around Croatia. 219 Tax Administration inspectors were out in the field, and have determined 16 irregularities in 239 inspections. Four irregularities were found in Karlovac, three in Rijeka, two in Varazdin and Pazin, and one in each of the following cities - Sisak, Pozega, Vukovar, Split, and Zagreb. It can be said that the night clubs were better prepared for fiscalization in comparison to bars and restaurants.
The Tax Administration has started shutting down the offenders' businesses. So far, six establishments were forcibly closed - two in Pazin, two in Vukovar, and one in the areas of Split and Dubrovnik, all of which did not resolve irregularities or obtain fiscal cash registers on time.
